Gil Hibben Valiant Fantasy Sword Gold Edition

gil hibben valiant fantasy sword gold edition

This 2009 Gil Hibben Valiant sword limited gold edition design is a rare hard to find sword. I have stumbled across websites claiming they have one with damascus steel for over $600 dollars. But in reality this sword along with the Dragon Lair sword are Not made with damascus steel. The Valiant sword that is displayed above is made with a 420 stainless steel blade. Both swords featured double-edged blades with deep fuller grooves. The fuller grove, (a.k.a blood channel), increases the blade’s surface area while decreasing its weight, resulting in a more flexible and durable blade. The Valiant’s detail mountings (guard and pommel) are cast in metal and treated with 24K gold plating. The amount of gold sprayed on at the time of it's production would of only be worth about 40 US dollars. The double grip portion of the hilt has been carefully wrapped with a twisted wire of stainless steel to provide structure. Only 900 of these vaiant fantasy swords were made and sold. A display plaque of authenticity was included. So if you intend to find one through ebay make sure of it's original plaque and that the sword is one of the originally produced pieces. Gil Hibben has his design signatures very very similiar to a real Kit Rae sword.

After all they are partners over there at United Cutlery. Again here is what to look for in an authentic Kit Rae sword.

This sword measures 41 ½” in length with a 26” blade - See more at: eBay
