MKV fighter knife gil hibben

The Hibben MKV fighter knife, what a classic. People this knife blows my mind. Never seen the inside of Gil's mind until now. Designed by Gil Hibben. The 7-7/8 inch slotted, 5mm thick 3Cr13 stainless steel blade.
 3mm=1/8"

3Cr13 stainless steel blade

features a split saw tooth back. wow those saw teeth are miles apart! You will not get a fine cut from that tooth spacing. The closer and closer the teeth are the finer of cut you will be controlling. When cutting teeth are this far apart,

you will chewing through, whatever you are trying to cut or saw. Like saw teeth each tooth is counted and is measured Tooth per Inch. (TPI)

For instance,

if you have cutting teeth on your knife and there are 30 teeth per inch

you will have an easy time sawing through medium weight wood or soft metal.

because there's more teeth working together.

Now if you had a MKV fighter knife or saw with 3 to 5 teeth per inch

can you imagine the tough control of that object?

You could wind up cutting your own hand off or at a minium a 1/3  of the way

inside cutting your wrist there.

can you imagine the tough control of that object?

when you have a razor sharp blade on the opposite side which is the knife/s blade side.

when your trying to Hack threw something with only three or five teeth per inch TPI.

Black Micarta handle has a deep finger cut groove for a tight secure fighting grip, It also has a Micarta end steel spacer. It is highly polished with a cast metal guard and pommel. An embossed leather belt sheath comes with it. The MKV fighter knife is 14.25 inches in length.

Gil Hibben has the authority to design knives within United Cutlery. I will write more about the MKV fighter knife once i buy it and explore it's capabilities for a month or two.

I will post it's total weight, the material of the sheath weight the actually TPI and other good detail that we can't seem to find right now. Once i find a good deal on it somewhere the real thing, and maybe i'll call Gil Hibben ask him some questions about it. If he's got a phone number  he's willing to talk.

More content in this fighter knife coming soon . .
